TAA DESIGNS
Each necklace, bracelet, and earring in the TAA Design collection is a truly one-of-a-kind and "green" piece of wearable art: We recycle clear and colored glass that would otherwise wind up in the garbage, such as empty wine and water bottles; we also use glass and crystal bowls, vases, platters, and other items—some obtained from thrift stores and estates sales, others from friends who’ve chipped or broken a family heirloom and would like to see their beloved piece given a new life. We break or cut up our finds, and then tumble the pieces for over a month to create the beads that are the basis for our designs. We also incorporate natural materials that we salvage and cut ourselves—obsidian from vineyard beds, abalone shell gathered from the coast. We arrange the finished beads on sterling silver. The result: Jewelry that reflects both the natural state of the materials used and our own modern design sensibilities.
